Who We Are

Tech Dawgs is a community outreach organization based in Carbondale, IL. We are a Registered Student Organization (RSO) at Southern Illinois University through the Information System Technologies (IST) Department. Our members comprise of both Computer Science and IST students and are driven by our desire to promote technology, educate the public about technology, and connect with the community using technology.

We are primarily a volunteer group, but we do produce workshops for local events. These events have included Expanding Your Horizons and the Boy Scouts Organization Cubs Can Code event. We have also previously hosted our own tech event, Tech Exploration for the Carbondale Community (TECC Day), where we host a couple guest speakers from tech corporations and offer a few workshops throughout the day.

Our group of students are incredibly committed to the field of tech, hoping to share their love for the field with others. We would love to introduce an area of technology to your next event or even your classroom. Contact us for more information if you are interested in our services.
